The 2010 Lincoln MKS achieved a five-star crash safety rating - in four testing positions - from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Five stars is the highest rating a vehicle can receive. NHTSA is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation and issues the star ratings to vehicles on a yearly basis. The 2010 Lincoln MKS earned a coveted Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award for 2010. This is the second year in a row Lincoln MKS has won the award, which recognizes vehicles that excel in the Institute's tests of protecting occupants in front, side, rear and rollover crashes. The 2010 Lincoln MKS earned a good performance - the highest IIHS rating - in front, side, rollover, rear tests and standard electronic stability control. Find out more at www.iihs.org.
