LINCOLN AND HIP-HOP STAR COMMON SHOWCASE ASPIRING LYRICISTS

Lincoln and hip-hop star Common are searching for the best aspiring lyricists in the new “Lincoln Spotlight” music contest. “Spotlight” is an online event, open to the public, which invites contestants to create an original song and video using tracks available on the contest’s Web site. The winner will open for Common at one of his 2008 performances and receive $10,000 cash.*

*Grand Prize winner will be determined by Common and a select panel of music industry insiders. Submissions must be between 2 and 5 minutes long. Submission deadline was March 17. No purchase necessary.
