2015 LINCOLN Navigator - Multilink Rear Suspension

Performance

Multilink Rear Suspension

The Lincoln Navigator is one of the very few full-size SUVs engineered with an independent multilink rear suspension (IRS) system that enables each wheel to negotiate bumps and jolts on its own terms, providing enhanced ride quality and control.

Superior ride and handling aren’t the only benefits. The Navigator IRS features our patented “porthole-in-frame” design in which steel halfshafts pass through elliptical portholes in the frame. This design allows for a lower and fully flat load floor, increased passenger and cargo volume, a lower rear ride height for enhanced aerodynamics, plus a lower step-in height to help make getting in and out easier.
