How do I update my information after selling my Lincoln?

There are a few actions you should take before and after selling your vehicle.

Before Selling Your Vehicle

Before transferring ownership, you should:

• Remove personal information from your vehicle by performing a master/factory reset for your SYNC^®* system.
• Remove your vehicle from the Lincoln app.

After Selling Your Vehicle

After transferring ownership:

• Notify your Department of Motor Vehicles, financial lender, and any other entities as required by federal and state law in the sale and transfer of a vehicle.
• Lincoln's ownership information will automatically update from available resources.
• Notifying Lincoln of your vehicle sale is not required.
