How do I reset my Lincoln password?

Your Lincoln account password can be reset through the Lincoln Support website or the Lincoln app.

Notes: 

  • Your Lincoln and Lincoln app passwords can both be changed in the same place on the Lincoln Support website.
  • Follow this process if you do not know your current password. If you remember your password, refer to Change Lincoln Account Password.

Resetting Your Lincoln Password

Using the Lincoln App

To reset your password from the Lincoln app:

  1. Open the Lincoln app.

    Note: If you are logged in, log out of the app.
     
  2. Select Sign In.
  3. Tap Forgot Password?.
  4. Enter your email address in the Email field.
  5. Tap Request Code. An email will be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you do not see the email, check your spam/junk folder.
  6. Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
  7. Enter your code in the Verification Code field.

    Important: If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code.
     
  8. Click Submit.
  9. Enter your new password in the Password field. The password must contain:
    1. Eight or more characters.
    2. One special character.
    3. One number.
    4. One uppercase letter.
    5. One lowercase letter.
  10. Tap Submit.

If your reset is successful, you will see a "Password Update Confirmation" screen and receive an email notification. You can now access your Ford accounts using your new password.

If you are unable to reset your password or experience issues while resetting, contact a Lincoln Client Experience Manager for additional assistance.

Using the Lincoln Support Website

To reset your password from the Lincoln website:

  1. Select Forgot Password? from the Lincoln Support Site sign-in screen.
  2. Enter your email in the Email field, then tap Send verification code.

    Note: This must be a working email you have access to. You will receive a verification email providing you with a 6-digit code. Check your spam/junk mail folders if you do not see the email.
     
  3. Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
  4. Enter your code in the Verification Code field.

    Important: If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code
     
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Enter your new password in the Password field.
  7. Click Submit.

If your reset is successful, you will see a "Success" screen and receive an email notification. You can now access your Lincoln accounts using your new password.
