What is Lincoln Auto Hold?
Auto Hold keeps the vehicle at a complete stop until you press the accelerator. This is useful in stop-and-go traffic and at traffic lights, so you can relax your foot more comfortably. The rear brake lights remain illuminated when Auto Hold is engaged.
How to use
- Press the Auto Hold button on the instrument cluster or the console to turn the feature on. The feature can be turned on at any time, even when the vehicle is moving.
- The Auto Hold icon will illuminate in the cluster when the system is turned on.
- Press the brake to bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
- You can remove your foot from the brake pedal and the vehicle will remain stationary until you press the accelerator.
Note: The Auto Hold system will turn off if you shift into Reverse and press the brake pedal.
Auto Hold is available on all Lincoln vehicles model year 2020 and newer.
Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment, and need to control the vehicle. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for details and limitations.
