What is Lincoln's Pre-Collision Assist* with Automatic Emergency Braking feature?

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) uses radar and camera technology to scan the roadway ahead and sounds a warning if a collision with a vehicle or pedestrian is detected.

How Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking Works

  • If a potential collision is detected, an alert sound is emitted, and a warning message is displayed in the message center.

  • If your response is not sufficient, AEB will precharge and increase the brake assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.
  • If you don’t take corrective action and a collision is imminent, brakes can apply automatically.
