What should I do if my SYNC Navigation cannot find a GPS signal?

If you see an "X," a crossed-out symbol, or a similar symbol over the navigation system's GPS icon, use the troubleshooting tips in this article.

Notes:

  • The signal loss symbol may appear in areas with poor GPS reception, such as parking garages or other covered areas.
  • If this icon is displayed continuously, you are not in a poor GPS access area, and the map does not show the vehicle at an accurate location, this likely indicates an issue and requires troubleshooting.

Lost GPS Symbol Troubleshooting

Important: Ensure your vehicle is running and in Park (P) in a well-ventilated area. Confirm that you are not parked under structures or other objects that could block the connection from your vehicle to the GPS satellite.
