How do I reset my Lincoln password?

Your Lincoln account password can be reset through the Lincoln Website or the Lincoln Way App®*.

Important:

  • Your password must meet the following criteria:
    • It must be at least eight characters long.
    • It is not the same as the email address or username.
  • Follow this process if you do not know your current password. If you remember your password, refer to Change Lincoln Account Password.

Resetting Your Lincoln Password

Select from the options below:

From the Lincoln Way App

To reset your password from the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Select Sign In.

    Note: If you are logged in, log out of the App.  
     
  2. Tap Forgot Password? on the Lincoln Way App Sign In page.  
    Select Forgot Password  
     
  3. Enter your email in the Email field.  
    Enter Email  
     
  4. Tap Request Email.  
    Select Request Email  
     
  5. Navigate to your email inbox and open the password reset email from Lincoln.
  6. Select the Change Password button.  
    Select Change Password  

    Note: This link expires in two hours.  
     
  7. Create a new password in the Password field.  
    Enter Password  
     
  8. Retype the new password in the Confirm Password field.  
    Confirm Password  
     
  9. Tap Change Password.  
    Select Change Password

Your password is reset. Return to the Lincoln Way App on your phone to sign in.

Notes:

  • You will receive an email confirmation after you reset your password.
  • You cannot tap the Change Password button if your password does not meet the criteria.
  • The password criteria will be displayed on the Change Password page.

From the Lincoln Website

To reset your password from the Lincoln website:

  1. Select Forgot Password? from the Lincoln Owner Support Site sign-in screen.

  2.  Enter your email in the Email field, then tap Request Code.

  3. Navigate to your email inbox and copy the code from the Verify Your Account email.
  4. Enter the code in the Verification Code field, then select Submit.

    Note: The verification code must be used within ten minutes.
     
  5. Enter a new password in the Password field, then select Submit.

Your password is now changed.

  • You cannot tap the Submit button if your password does not meet the criteria.
  • The password criteria will be displayed on the Change Password page.
