Why are some of my Lincoln Way App features no longer available with the version 4.16 release?

  • We are removing some lesser-used features of the Lincoln Way App to help create an even better experience.
  • If you have an activated Lincoln Connect®** modem, you will continue to have access to remote features including start/stop and lock/unlock.
  • We have been making changes to the Lincoln Way App this year, and we are planning to improve it further, to enhance both your experience and overall performance, building on impressive ratings by leading third-party quality experts. For example:
    • We have made the Lincoln Way App home screen and other screens easy to use.
    • We have added features such as Horn & Lights (available on select models) which activates with a simple touch to more easily find your vehicle in crowded parking lots.

Is SYNC®*** AppLink still available for me to use in my vehicle?

Yes, SYNC AppLink is still available via SYNC. Only the connection between the Lincoln Way App and AppLink will be changing. Lincoln Way is just one of the apps available for use with AppLink. With this change to improve performance, some features in the Lincoln Way App will no longer be available.

Who is affected by the product removals in the Lincoln Way App version 4.16 release?

Any Lincoln client who uses the Lincoln Way App.

Which Lincoln Way App features are being removed with the version 4.16 release?

  • We are removing some lesser-used features of the Lincoln Way App to help create an even better experience.
  • If you have an activated Lincoln Connect modem, you will continue to have access to remote features including start/stop and lock/unlock.

Clients Who Own a Vehicle Without a Lincoln Connect Modem

These features will no longer be available in the Lincoln Way App:

  • App Catalog
  • Vehicle Health Alerts, including Scheduled Health Reports
  • Some Map capabilities:
    • Point of Interest search for Fuel and Parking (may still be available in select vehicles)
    • Pin My Spot
    • Sending directions to SYNC Navigation from Lincoln Way Maps

Note: Oil life, fuel level, tire pressure, and odometer will continue to be available in the vehicle, but will be removed from the Lincoln Way App.

Clients Who Own a Vehicle With an Activated Lincoln Connect Modem

These features will be removed from the Lincoln Way App and are not available in the vehicle:

  • App Catalog
  • Remote Vehicle Setup (one-time use feature prior to delivery for select vehicles)
  • Some Map capabilities:
    • Point of Interest search for Fuel and Parking (may still be available in select vehicles)
    • Pin My Spot
    • Sending directions to SYNC Navigation from Lincoln Way Maps

Is there an alternative or work-around available to still utilize features removed from the Lincoln Way App version 4.16 release?

Unfortunately, there is no alternative or work-around that would allow these features to be utilized with the Lincoln Way App version 4.16 release.

How do I check what Lincoln Way App version I have?

  1. Navigate to the Home landing page.
  2. In the top right corner, tap Account.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and view App Version x.xx.x.

**Lincoln Way Connect (optional on select vehicles), the Lincoln Way App, and Complimentary Connected Service are required for remote features (see Lincoln Way Terms and Conditions for details). Connected Service and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent the operation of connected features. Connected Service excludes Wi-Fi hotspot.

***Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
