Is there a difference between SYNC® 3 and SYNC 4 Technology?
When SYNC 3 was introduced into Lincoln vehicles, it instantly changed the onboard experience. However, our engineers never stopped asking themselves how they could improve it. The answer is SYNC 4 — the natural evolution in the SYNC story in name and a whole new chapter by virtue.*
How is SYNC 4 Technology different from SYNC 3?
From the outset, Lincoln engineers sought to create an incredible experience. They outdid themselves with:
- Twice the computing power of its predecessor, SYNC 3
- All-new cloud-based connectivity
- Wireless phone connection to Apple CarPlay,®Android Auto™compatibility and SYNC AppLink®** when using a Bluetooth® enabled smartphone
- Custom touchscreen options
*Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
**Commands may vary by phone and AppLink software.
