SYNC Services

Once you’ve activated SYNC Services, you’re connected to turn-by-turn voice directions, live Operator Assist support, personalized traffic reports, and 411 Business Search.129

(SYNC Services is available with My FordTouch-equipped vehicles and may require you to purchase a subscription.)

In order to access SYNC Services, you must add a mobile phone number – and select it as Active – when setting up your Ford Owner account. The Active mobile phone associated with your SYNC account must be Bluetooth®-enabled, and you’ll need to turn it on, pair it, and connect it with SYNC before you can start using SYNC Services.

Optional SD Card Navigation system

When purchasing your vehicle at the dealership, you can equip it with the optional SD Card Navigation system. This option provides maps and trip information. While you’re driving, just say a few commands, and SYNC will answer with the information you need.

Where do I look for Navigation on my touchscreen?

When getting directions with SYNC® Services or the optional SD Card Navigation system, if equipped, in your SYNC with MyFord Touch® vehicle, it’s important to know where to look on your 8-inch touchscreen.

The Navigation “smart corner” displays options to type an address and get turn-by-turn directions, find your current location, and cancel a route. It also displays maps when navigating and provides information on traffic and speed limits.

If your vehicle is not equipped with the optional Navigation system, the top right-hand corner of your touchscreen will default to Information.

Operator Assist

Speak directly to a live operator with the Operator Assist package, which comes with available SYNC Services. If you’re using this service to get directions or search for a business, you can connect to a live operator at any time for help with your search.64

Save your favorite addresses to easily access traffic updates. You can also create alerts on traffic conditions in your region, which will be sent via text message to your mobile phone. You can personalize traffic reports and alerts through your registered Ford Owner account, once activated.

Send to SYNC

Use the SYNC Destinations mobile app to locate a destination and send it to SYNC.

SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link

Activate your six-month trial subscription to SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link to take advantage of infotainment services for your voice-activated Navigation System, if equipped. With SiriusXM Traffic you get continuously updated traffic information and traffic-related incidents while SiriusXM Travel Link delivers local fuel prices, weather information, movie listings, sports scores, and schedules.

Ask SYNC® for directions

Use voice commands while driving to interact with SYNC® with MyFord Touch®. Listed below are some voice commands commonly used to get directions and traffic information using either SYNC Services, Navigation (if equipped), or SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link (if active).
