How do automatic door locks work on my Lincoln?
Automatic door locks* automatically lock or unlock your vehicle doors based on your speed, the driver's side door, or the proximity of your key fob.
- Autolock: Your vehicle doors will automatically lock when your speed exceeds 12 mph.
- Autounlock: Your vehicle doors will automatically unlock when the engine is turned off and the driver's door is opened.
Note: Your vehicle may also be equipped with keyless entry*. Keyless entry uses sensors to detect your key fob. Your doors will lock automatically as you walk away or unlock as you approach.
Features and settings vary by vehicle model and year. To learn more about this feature, including how to enable or disable it, refer to your Owner's Manual under the Doors and Locks section.
