Where can I find my Lincoln's keyless entry code?

The factory-set, 5-digit keyless entry code may be provided on a wallet-sized card (see image below) with the Owner’s Manual for your vehicle. Beginning with 2024 model-year vehicles, this card may not be provided.

No Keyless Entry Code Card?

If you cannot locate the original keyless entry code card, or a card was not provided, follow the steps below.

Viewing the Keyless Entry Code in the Information Display

You can view the keyless entry code on the information display for the following model-year vehicles:

  • Corsair: 2020 and newer
  • Nautilus: 2019 and newer
  • Navigator: 2018 and newer
  • MKZ (and Hybrid): 2013 - 2020
  • MKX: 2016 - 2018

  • MKS: 2015 - 2016

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you have the two Intelligent Access Keys that are programmed for your vehicle. If you do not have a second key, contact your Lincoln Retailer, and they will be happy to assist you.
  • Ensure you are in a safe and well-ventilated area.
  • Do not press the brake pedal during the procedure.
  • Ensure the vehicle is off with all doors closed.

Important: Be ready to complete the steps below within 30 seconds of starting. Ensure you know all the steps before beginning the process.

When you are ready to proceed:

  1. Place the first programmed key in the backup slot.
  2. Press the START/STOP button once and wait 4 to 5 seconds.
  3. Press the START/STOP button again and remove the key.
  4. Insert the second programmed key in the backup slot.
  5. Press the START/STOP button.
  6. The factory-set code will appear on the information display for a few seconds. It may not display until after other warning messages have been displayed first.

More specific instructions, including the location of the backup slot, are available in the Owner's Manual.

Unable to View the Keyless Entry Code in the Information Display

If you are unable to retrieve the keyless entry code in the Information Display, or the above procedure does not apply to your vehicle, your Lincoln Retailer may obtain the keyless entry code by the use of diagnostic equipment. There may be a charge for this service. For security reasons, this information can only be provided to you in person by visiting the retailer. Once there, you will be required to produce two pieces of information:

  • Personal Identification, such as a valid Driver's License or a state-issued picture identification.
  • Vehicle documentation that includes the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) (e.g., Vehicle Registration, current Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale), and the person's name seeking the keyless entry code.

In some older model-year vehicles, the keyless entry module may be located behind a panel and accessible from inside the vehicle. Contact Lincoln Concierge at 1-800-521-4140 for further assistance.
