How do I use Phone As A Key?
If your vehicle is equipped with Phone As A Key*, you can manage remote controls, such as start, stop, and more, using the Lincoln app. Use the information below to access your remote commands or for troubleshooting.
Important: Phone As A Key works best when your smartphone has a direct line of sight to your vehicle (i.e., keep your phone in your hand rather than in a back pocket, handbag, or briefcase).
To use Phone As A Key with the Lincoln app, you must:
- Be logged into the Lincoln app.
 - Add a Phone As A Key equipped vehicle to the app.
 - Activate the vehicle's embedded modem.
 - Have your phone set up as a Phone As A Key device.
 - Have Connectivity Settings in the vehicle turned on.
 - Have Bluetooth® turned on.
 
Using Phone As A Key Commands
Select your Lincoln app experience for steps to send controls using Phone As A Key.
To send remote commands to your vehicle:
- Log in to the Lincoln app.
 - Ensure you have the correct vehicle chosen (if you have more than one vehicle added to your Lincoln app).
 - Select the Bluetooth® Controls button.
 - Tap the respective control to send a request to your vehicle:
- Windows Up
 - Windows Down
 - Trunk
 
 
Note: To access the Horn & Lights controls, tap the Vehicle icon to return to the Vehicle dashboard, then select the Vehicle Location banner.
