What do I do if I cannot send text messages using SYNC®*?

If you are unable to send text messages using SYNC, follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Restart your phone.
    1. Turn off the phone.
    2. Remove the device's battery (if applicable).
    3. Turn on the phone.
    4. Allow the phone to re-pair with your vehicle.
      Note: If the phone does not pair with your vehicle, continue to Step 2.
    5. Try sending a text message. 
    • If it goes through, your issue is resolved.
    • If it does not go through, proceed to Step 2.
  2. Pair the phone.
    1. Remove the paired device from SYNC.
    2. Pair your device again.
