How do I make my Phone As A Key work better?

Using the Lincoln Way® App,* you can optimize your Phone As A Key** device for best performance.

Optimize Phone As A Key

Select your Lincoln Way App experience from the dropdowns below to learn how to make Phone As A Key perform better. 

Lincoln Way App 4.X Experience

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App. 
  2. Go to the Home screen. 
  3. Select Optimize Phone as a Key.
  4. Tap one of the following menu items:
    • Bluetooth® wireless technology
    • Location Services
    • Cellular Data
  5. Adjust your settings using the provided steps.

When a setting has been successfully adjusted, a green check mark will appear and you can no longer tap it. Once all menu items have a green check mark, your Phone As A Key settings are at top performance levels.

Note: If you need to reference the Optimize menu later, tap the circled (i) bubble on the Home screen. 

Lincoln Way App 5.X Experience

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App. 
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen. 
  3. Select Vehicle Settings.
  4. Tap Phone as a Key. 
  5. Locate the Optimize section.
    • If a green check mark is shown, you cannot select the menu item, as your Phone as a Key settings are at top performance levels. 
    • If a warning icon is shown, you can adjust your settings using the recommended steps.

When a setting has been successfully adjusted, a green check mark will appear and you can no longer tap it. Once all menu items have a green check mark, your Phone As A Key settings are at top performance levels.
